Testboard / Photoshoot

At Model Placement Center we don't waste any time in helping you to gain the necessary skills and knowledge that you'll need to get you started down the modeling career path. Once you've been selected, you'll be asked to come in for a screening. If you then make the "cut", you'll be tested. This means that you'll be in the capable hands of our professional Testboard Team as they mold you into a model. You'll receive professional coaching as you work with a photographer and makeup artist in preparation for a photo shoot. This important stage gives you the opportunity to "sell yourself" to an agency. The way you work in front of the camera and how well you photograph are the two factors that will quickly separate you from the crowd of would-be models. As you work with the Testboard Team, we'll find out if you have the "look" that it takes to make it in this high paying profession. You'll find out the answers to some very important questions: Are you photogenic? Do you have what it takes? Could you handle the hectic pace of being a supermodel? If you really want to be a model, then its time to make the commitment and find out. We'll be here when you're ready.
Once you've found out that you have what it takes, there are no guarantee's just how much work you will get. Nothing is more exciting than getting called to do a modeling job. Remember, having all of your professional bases covered will greatly increase your chances for success. For example, it's imperative that you update your modeling book and comp card every year. In addition, if your agency has a website, be sure to take advantage of the wonderful exposure that the Internet offers... get your composite up on the web! And finally, it's imperative that you keep yourself available for bookings -- usually on short notice. Here's a great piece of advice: they usually come when you least expect it!
- Once you are signed with an agency, listen to your booker
- Test when asked to update
- Keep your comp card updated along with your book
- Do not change your look once your comp and book is completed
- Check in with your booker every week or when asked to check in
- If you change your numbers tell your booker
- If you move tell your booker
- Never be late for a casting or booking
- Have all your gear ready for your bookings if asked to bring shoes, etc, bring them
- Always communicate with your agency
